XeemEyexoX news 3/1/08

Well, I’ll tell you the honest truth… it’s been a while since the last news update! I’ve been anxiously engaged in recording lots of material and trying to get a solid demo out to some interested ears. I took a break from November of last year to pursue two other projects… one of which, Uniflux, was just picked up by Black Montanas label. Which you can find here at www.blackmontanas.com, and the Uniflux material can be discovered currently at the myspace page www.myspace.com/unifluxsound. XeemEyexoX is working on a few new tracks that can be heard at the myspace page as well… www.myspace.com/xeemeyexox. I’m in the process of lining up a grip of shows for the rest of the year, and if luck smiles… a few festivals as well. That news will be posted when the time comes. I hope you’re all having an interstellar 2008.

Two things that must be brought to attention…
  First, Embodi and myself are in the process of recording a split, it’s looking like there will be 10 tracks total on the release. 8 of which are individual material, and the other 2 are going to be remixes of each other’s work. Things are well under way and this little installment could be released come 2007… nothing is final, nothing is really concrete. It just adds to the element of spontaneity.
  Second, I was thinking about releasing NonsenseStimulus this year, but 2006 is coming to a close. It will give us all something fun to look forward to come 2007. Disregard any previous notions about where this project’s direction is heading next… because that is not really my means to say… what ever shape XeemEyexoX takes, know that it will be interesting and predominantly electronic. NonsenseStimulus is on its way… oh and ps… the full length in succession to NsS will be titled Simple Slumber… just to give you a foreshadowing of what is to come 2007.

The upcoming little aural adventure is well under way. NonsenseStimulus.  I have 5 tracks done, just waiting for some polishing… the plan is to record 9 tracks. The number 9 plays a significant role. There is a lot more obscurity and instrumentation on this release, its 90% instrumental, or that is how it looks at least… it very well could be completely instrumental, I haven’t decided yet. Needless to say, I have been pulling a lot of influential spark from Nurse With Wound, Coil, and Current 93 for some of the tracks… it grows more and more every day. Completion is really only steps away…

For those of you who know me, you know that I find it hard to lay idle when it comes to things of a creative nature. Pack Your Portmanteau is done, but I am thirsting for more musical endeavors. I have been toying around with a direction I want to take the next releases, and it’s looking very interesting for an upcoming e.p. We are going to take a little trip down a road that is much harder, and lit dimly by struggling flames. The new e.p. will have a dark, industrial feel to it. Piercing synths, heavier drums, and very fun elements... this is what lies in store. That is all that can be said for the upcoming XeemEyexoX material

There is another project in store that I will be working on. A dear friend and I are embarking on a musical journey we call Telescopium. It is just in mere sketchings at the moment, but things can happen very unexpectedly! Ha ha ha, you listeners have no idea what all lies in store! A lot of beauty, a ton of killer synthesis, and of course the implication of experimentation… it will be a journey for the masses, so keep your ears perked for a bunch of new material

For those of you who want copies of Pack Your Portmanteau, you will have to wait a few weeks, I am in the process of moving back to Utah for school. I am whipping up a bunch of CD-Rs with hand drawn goodness, until I get pro copies made. Sorry to pop it out on CD-R, but I just don’t have the money to get professional duplication done at the moment.
